Contemplation Through the Ages

This course will examine 4 classics in Contemplation from different historic periods, focusing on one of the classics each of 4 days and the fifth day will integrate discernment and empowerment for life. Participants will engage in interactive lectures, sharing in small groups, practicing silence together, and finding solitude in the quiet of the Calvin Center.
A special addition will be Liturgy of the Hours led by Dr. Paul Lang and his wife Sarah. Paul has written contemporary psalm tunes and hymns that nurture the contemplative spirit. According to Instructor, Ben Campbell Johnson, "The combination of worship, shared silence, interactive discussion, and life in the midst of nature will provide a significant learning experience." Leader: Ben Johnson Program Fee: $350 This course will be held at the Calvin Center in Hampton, GA. (Please complete a separate registration for housing.)
